Howdy folks! I just recently started to poke my head into the furry community and found this forum, and presently being in the Capital Region of NY I wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
As of this writing, I'm a 28 year old male red panda who has been interested in furry things for what seems like forever, and is just now "coming out" to see what the furry community is all about. I've been told that there's a strong following here, but I have trouble finding things going on locally (did the interest die down when Anthrocon moved?). In the end I would like to make some new friends and start hanging out with real people outside of the house from time to time.
I have a bachelor's degree in Genetics and I work for a huge lab mouse company that most folks don't know exists up here, although my interests lie way outside of science. I like computers and technology, video games (PC, consoles aren't in our budget), cars and auto racing (also presently out of the budget ), music, and playing with my dog. If I had my way I would build computers and race cars all day, but alas! I test mice instead and goof around on the interwebs.
My participation in the furry world is limited to being mostly a spectator at the moment, though I love to take pictures of things and have started posting them to my old FA (PsychalFlare). In the old days I used to RP like it was my job on AOL-anyone remember that? Now I occasionally do some things with friends, but age and responsibilities have made it sporadic.
I think that's about all I've got. Looking forward to meeting you all. :3
